Scripture doesn’t sound dead according to Jesus since it cannot be broken
JN 10:35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

Jesus showing scripture (scribed/written words) matters hugely
MT 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
MK 12:24 And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?

The issue is understanding scripture
LK 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
LK 24:32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
LK 24:45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

Recorded Words of God matter and Jesus came to affirm true Words of God
MT 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
MT 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Truth ‘revealed’ must agree with what is written
IS 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

Here is something else that disagrees with scripture and Jesus who embodies the written law and prophets
“Your Mother is in you, and you in her. She bore you she gives you life. … For the power of our Mother is above all. … Happy are you when you come to know her and her kingdom; … “The air which we breathe is born of the breath of our Earthly Mother … ”

MT 12:48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
MT 12:49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
MK 3:33 And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?
MK 3:34 And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
LK 8:21 And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.

JN 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.

JN 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

JN 12:50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

The Essene gospel seems to prioritise/worship an earth mother ie the physical rather than our Spiritual Father
NUM 16:22 And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?
NUM 27:16 Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,
PROV 16:2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.
MT 10:20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

Jesus explained God in grain parables (since other examples of reproduction not involving sex were unknown to peasant community) ie asexual reproduction. These days we know that single-cell beings never die if they are not interfered with, since they simply continue to divide and grow and mature into exact replicas and expand. God is Spirit and used Jesus to spread God as Spiritual Words that grow and expand within us, to produce exact replicas of God’s Word rather than human words
JN 7:18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

Here is the bottom line of truth
JN 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
