Contrary To What The Preachers Tell You… Melchizedek Tithed To Abram – Not the other way around.
Genesis 14:17-20
17 And the king of Sodom went out to meet him, after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer and the kings that were with him, at the vale of Shaveh–the same is the King’s Vale.
18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine; and he was priest of God the Most High.
19 And he blessed him, and said: ‘Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Maker of heaven and earth;

Yeshua the Nazarene
Matthew made a very interesting statement near the beginning of his Gospel. Referring to Yeshua, he wrote, “And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene” (Matthew 2:23).
Two questions immediately come to mind in reading that verse from Matthew’s account of the Gospel.
1. To which prophets was Matthew referring?
2. What does a “Nazarene” have to do with living in Nazareth? Read more
