I fear we’ve inoculated a whole generation of people who got a partial injection of Christianity and are now resistant to the real thing. They prayed the sinner’s prayer, got their “fire insurance,” and then disappeared, never to be seen again. When confronted with the Gospel anew they shrug, “Been there, done that. Now leave me alone. Yeshua the Nazarene
Matthew made a very interesting statement near the beginning of his Gospel. Referring to Yeshua, he wrote, “And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene” (Matthew 2:23).
Two questions immediately come to mind in reading that verse from Matthew’s account of the Gospel.
1. To which prophets was Matthew referring?
2. What does a “Nazarene” have to do with living in Nazareth? Read more

It was in 1928 that Edmond Bordeaux Szekely first published his translation of Book One of The Essene Gospel of Peace, an ancient manuscript he had found in the Secret Archives of the Vatican as the result of limitless patience, faultless scholarship, and unerring intuition.
