   to be married is to become one flesh,joined until death. as with man and women, so it is with jesus and his bride. the bride is the new jerusalem, who is the new jerusalem? the one who not only learns about the life of christ as most christians do, but the onje who experiences the life of christ as his flesh did, so does she. she is the totally committed deciple who gives up her life and the world for the sake of christ. she becomes his ears, eyes, mouth, and follows him unto death. becomes obedient unto christ as christ became obedient to the father unto death. she will follow his bloody footsteps all the way up to death and then enter heaven for the lambs wedding supper. she is the abbandoned sould, who the world treats as he was treated. spat at, ignored, insulted, accused, betrayed, abbandoned, despised, etc,etc, etc. this is not the average christian, the body of christ. she is far beyond average, and infact is above normal christians, for she has abbandoned her own life and given her will over to god. she works and lives for god and has given up her own life to go where ever he sends her to feed many suckling babies. she has full ripe breasts, to feed humanity. she teaches others and feeds them daily all that god reveals through her. for she is the mother of many children. god fills her with all his love, wisdom, knowledge, mercy understanding, forgivness, purety,etc and she then pours it out continually as paul poured out himself to the world for their sakes. this is the bride that loves god and is obedient to him as christ was, giving up the world and herself, and becomming like unto him. bllod, sweat and tears. allowing herself to be annialated and understanding that she is here only until her work is done and then he will take her up to himself as he went up to our father.i myself am a bride. since childhood, my life has been abused, rejected,abbandoned, and has continued throughout my entire life. i understand why now! ive understood for about ten years now that i am not an ordinarry child of christ, but an overcommer, to endure the trials and continual blow after blow in the name of christ. i am being purifyed now for my readyness to go home. my work is done, and my own righteousness isnot what is needful to be saved. but being the bride it is necesarry to become spotless and wrinkle free. which means letting go of all the world, my attachments, my vices, my habbits. she prepares herself with sweet perfumes, weeks before the wedding, she does her hair and has her makeup done, she aims to look her best. and as best we get is to give up all we can for christ before we get to him. not many people are the bride, fornot many souls can give up thier life to live a life for god and god alone. and therefore she is different to the church, the body, the children, our brothers and sisters. she has a harder more distinctive life, a life of hardtimes. why? because to be christs bride, she must become like christ. and thats not only his temprement, but his dedication, his goals, and eventually his rewards. glory and the share of the royal throne. she is his partner, she becomes him. they join in heart, mind, soul and body. and her life is a prey unto him. God uses her to bring souls to himself. God gives her a sweet smell to those he wants her to attract.and feed. she like you said, gives her life to him, and for him. she is his love and he is hers. i am tired i am wornout, i have fed many and given much, been tested and trialed wave apon wave, one after the other, and its all comming to a grand finaly. i am scared just as jesus was scared, yet i too have to be obedient unto my fathers wishes. which also happen to be mine aswell. i am looking forward to going home. infact, i have prayed for it year after year, this year i believe it will happen. my work is done and my glory is comming to take me home to zion. amen and halleluyah. god bless you all, and may peace and grace reighn in your hearts and minds. cherylea o’brien

   That all sounds very romantic cherylea, but it is completely unscriptural.

   What you describe is the life of a ‘disciple’ which is “An Attendant of the Bridegroom”. Nowhere in scripture does Yahu’shua refer to His disciples as His Bride.

   When asked why His disciples did not fast Yahu’shua replied:
   * Matthew 9:15
   And Jesus said to them, “The attendants of the bridegroom cannot mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them, can they? But the days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast.
   * Mark 2:19
   And Jesus said to them, “While the bridegroom is with them, the attendants of the bridegroom cannot fast, can they? So long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.
   * Luke 5:34
   And Jesus said to them, “You cannot make the attendants of the bridegroom fast while the bridegroom is with them, can you?

   The word ‘attendants’ in the above verses has also been translated as ‘friends of the bridegroom’, ‘guests of the bridegroom’ and ‘children of the bridechamber’ but NEVER Bride or Wife.

   Yahu’shua Himself reveals to us that His disciples are not His Bride, but His guests, friends, attendants.

   The teachings of Saul of Tarsus and his ‘mystery religion’ are often in stark contrast to those of YAHU’SHUA HA MASHIACH.

   The New Jerusalem is a city, with high walls, and gates, and foundation stones. It is not made up of the souls of the dead.

   Revelation 21:9-27
   9Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and spoke with me, saying, “Come here, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.”
   10And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,
   11having the glory of God Her brilliance was like a very costly stone, as a stone of crystal-clear jasper.
   12It had a great and high wall, with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels; and names were written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel.
   13There were three gates on the east and three gates on the north and three gates on the south and three gates on the west.
   14And the wall of the city had twelve foundation stones, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

   24The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.
   25In the daytime (for there will be no night there) its gates will never be closed;
   26and they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it;
   27and nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

   It is absolutely impossible to honestly show from the scripture above that the new Jerusalem is made up of the souls of dead disciples or followers of Christ.

   Matthew 22
   Parable of the Marriage Feast
   1Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying,
   2″The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son.
   3″And he sent out his slaves to call those who had been invited to the wedding feast, and they were unwilling to come.
   4″Again he sent out other slaves saying, ‘Tell those who have been invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fattened livestock are all butchered and everything is ready; come to the wedding feast.”‘
   5″But they paid no attention and went their way, one to his own farm, another to his business,
   6and the rest seized his slaves and mistreated them and killed them.
   7″But the king was enraged, and he sent his armies and destroyed those murderers and set their city on fire.
   8″Then he said to his slaves, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy.
   9′Go therefore to the main highways, and as many as you find there, invite to the wedding feast.’

   Again… In the above parable… The king did not send for the Bride… He sent out his slaves to call those who had been INVITED TO THE WEDDING FEAST.

   The church being the ‘bride of Christ’ was introduced by Saul of Tarsus and is in reality the second degree of the rites of Mithras (Mystery Religion).

   Also, people cannot be married to ‘Christ’ because there is no marriage in the resurrection
   MT 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
   MK 12:25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.
   LK 20:34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

   There is reference in OT scripture about marriage to an earthly land/place
   eg IS 62:4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.

   NT scripture sees the Messiah married to a heavenly place ie the New Jerusalem

   People are welcome to recognise and celebrate the beautiful union
   PS 85:10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
   IS 43:9 Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth.
   JN 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
   MT 13:52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

   May we change our garments so we can be welcome guests

   You are right.

   We are not supposed to twist scripture to what we want but we are supposed to change our lives to line up with scriptures.

   Funnily enough… Those who claim that their hermenuetics and exegesis is correct are usually are the ones doing the twisting. The proof of this is the fact that nearly 40,000 Christian sects all claim their particular biblical interpretation is the correct one.

   The Roman Catholic Church insisted that their that their church doctrine were correct while they went about killing more than 50,000,000 people who dared to disagree with their hermenuetics and exegesis during the 1200 year period that we fondly refer to as ‘The Dark Ages’.

   The teachings of YAHU’SHUA are quite simple. It is only those who profess to be wise that have trouble with them.

   Matthew 9:15

   Let’s look at the verse in context shall we…???

   Matthew 9
   14Then the disciples of John came to Him, asking, “Why do we and (T)the Pharisees fast, but Your disciples do not fast?”
   15And Jesus said to them, “The attendants of the bridegroom cannot mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them, can they? But the days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast.

   In Matthew 9:15 the Messiah refers to His disciples as “The attendants of the bridegroom”, not as the “Bride”. In Mark 2:19 and Luke 5:34 He also refers to His disciples as “The attendants of the bridegroom”. As a matter of fact… nowhere in any of the four Gospels are the Messiah’s disciples nor the church referred to as His bride.

   The King James Version translates “The attendants of the bridegroom” as “The children of the bridechamber” which has the following connotations according to Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance:

   “the children” – g5207 υἱός huios
   1) a son
   a) rarely used for the young of animals
   b) generally used of the offspring of men
   c) in a restricted sense, the male offspring (one born by a father and of a mother)
   d) in a wider sense, a descendant, one of the posterity of any one,
   1) the children of Israel
   2) sons of Abraham
   e)) used to describe one who depends on another or is his follower
   1) a pupil

   “of the bridechamber” – g3567 νυμφών nymphōn
   1) the chamber containing the bridal bed, the bridal chamber
   a) of the friends of the bridegroom whose duty it was to provide and care for whatever pertained to the bridal chamber, i.e. whatever was needed for the due celebration of the nuptials
   b) the room in which the marriage ceremonies are held

   Other versions of the bible translate “The attendants of the bridegroom” and “The children of the bridechamber” as “The guests of the bridegroom”.

   When taken “in context” it is plainly evident that YAHU’SHUA does not refer to His disciples as His bride. The Lord YAHU’SHUA refers to His disciples as His attendants or guests.

   Revelation 19:9
   9Then he said to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb‘” And he said to me, “These are true words of God.”

   Again… Let’s look at this verse “In Context”.

   Revelation 19
   1After these things I heard something like a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, “Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God;
   2BECAUSE HIS JUDGMENTS ARE TRUE AND RIGHTEOUS; for He has judged the great harlot who was corrupting the earth with her immorality, and HE HAS AVENGED THE BLOOD OF HIS BOND-SERVANTS ON HER.”

   5And a voice came from the throne, saying, “Give praise to our God, all you His bond-servants, you who fear Him, the small and the great.”

   Those who are the redeemed of our Lord are certainly playing an active part in the above text… But it is not the part of the bride.

   Is the bride “invited” to her own marriage supper???
   Certainly not…
   On the contrary…
   The Bride is the Guest of Honour at Her own Marriage supper.

   So who is it that is invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb?

   The redeemed of our Lord are mentioned in the above text, but they are not called “The Bride”…

   Revelation 19

   Those who have dedicated their lives to His service…???

   The context of the above verse Revelation 21:9-27 is plain and simple…

   ”Come here, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.”

   Of course… Those who prefer to hold to church doctrine rather than the truth will come up with all kinds of twisted hermenuetics and exegesis (mainly Pauline of course) to try to prove that the church is the bride of Christ.

   hmm interesting. Though I also to have a problem with one of your other statements,
   “His bride has made herself ready. Are you ready…? Are you ready to be married to the Holy Lamb of God, in whom no sin is found? Are you perfect, spotless, without blemish…?

   These preachers will tell you that all you have to do is say a little prayer and miraculously YHVH will see you as pure white innocence, unblemished, and without sin.

   Mark my words.

   Our Heavenly Father YHVH does not call an unclean thing clean.
   Nor does He call the unrighteous righteous”

   My question to you is… has Jesus come back yet?? no he has not so of course at this point the church is not ready he will come when we are. As well we are under the blood of Lamb meaning our sins are forgiven and made as white as snow. (Isaiah 1:18). Your statement has painted God to have no mercy or grace and this is not the God that I know and love. Yes we are a sinful people but Jesus came to die so that we could have a relationship with God and be able to come before his throne pure and spotless because the punishment has been paid. We are not longer condenmed for our sin because for those who are in Christ Jesus there is no condenmation (Romans 5:1) Galations 2:20 also says “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live but Christ lives in me, the life I live in the body I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me.”

   Think about it yes as a church we may not be completely ready but Christ hasn’t come yet. As well God is a merciful and graceful God and he bestows upon us that Mercy and Grace.

   Talk about a scripture taken out of context…

   Isaiah 1:18 has nothing whatsoever to do with you being ‘under the blood of the lamb’.

   Isaiah 1:18 is all about repentance…

   YHVH was forgiving our sins long before YAHU’SHUA was murdered.

   Read Isaiah 1:18 in context…!

   15″So when you spread out your hands in prayer,
   I will hide My eyes from you;
   Yes, even though you multiply prayers,
   I will not listen
   Your hands are covered with blood.

   16″Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean;
   Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight
   Cease to do evil,
   17Learn to do good;
   Seek justice,
   Reprove the ruthless,
   Defend the orphan,
   Plead for the widow.

   18″Come now, and let us reason together,”
   Says the LORD,
   “Though your sins are as scarlet,
   They will be as white as snow;
   Though they are red like crimson,
   They will be like wool.

   19″If you consent and obey,
   You will eat the best of the land;
   20″But if you refuse and rebel,
   You will be devoured by the sword ”
   Truly, the mouth of the LORD has spoken.

   Your Pauline hermenuetics and exegesis tell you that Christ will return when the church has made herself ready. The church will never become pure and spotless while it’s members adhere to the Lawless teachings of Paul.

   1 John 3
   4Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.

   Matthew 7:22-24
   22″Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’
   23″And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’

   Matthew 13:41
   ” The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness,

   YHVH’s grace has not changed from the beginning of time. His grace is the same in the ‘Old Testament’ as it is in the ‘New Testament’.

   2 Chronicles 7:13-15
   13″If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people,
   14and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

   His grace toward us is His discipline and His correction.

   Revelation 3:19
   ‘ Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent.

   And when we repent, and turn from our wicked ways… Our Heavenly Father forgives us.

   Therein lies the grace of YHVH!

   It may well appear to you that I have painted God to have no mercy or grace. The truth is that I fear for those Christians who do not truly know YHVH and Take His grace for granted.

   Matthew 13
   14″In their case the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled, which says,
   ‘YOU WILL KEEP ON HEARING, BUT WILL NOT UNDERSTAND;
   YOU WILL KEEP ON SEEING, BUT WILL NOT PERCEIVE;

   WITH THEIR EARS THEY SCARCELY HEAR,

   Lawlessness of Paul? Excuse me? If his teachings were not Biblical would they not be in the scripture. We are not longer under the Old Covenant, Jesus himself said he is the blood of the New Covenant(Matt 26:28, Now Jesus is speaking of his betral and him being crucified but he himself is calling the cup his blood of the new covenant. Christ is the new Covenant). As well if you remember correctly the dicsiples themselves accepted Pauls teachings, as well other places in scriptures point to Pauls teachings agreeing with thim. Would I be correct in saying you don’t believe in the innerency of the Bible?

   As well I’m curious of your use of Revelation, in my understanding this is a book of prophecy for the end times when Christ returns.

   I really really don’t see were you are coming up with this stuff you are limiting your use and view of scripture and believe me I am not coming up with this stuff off the top of my head I have not taken 3-4 theology classes as well as others to not at least have an idea of what I’m talking about. As well my use of Isaiah 1:18 was to say our sins are as white as snow, not what you seem to think. You still are painting a God of no grace or mercy with your statement because our sins are white as snow God sees us that way, our sin he remembers no more.

   The disciples did not accept the teachings of Paul. People often use 2 Peter to promote this claim, yet experts agree that 2 Peter was not written by Peter, but that book fulfills prophecy so should be looked at as such.

   Remember the prophesy of Jesus that Peter’s end would be that his hands would be tied and he would be taken somewhere he didn’t wish to go … think about where we see the last of Peter and we see prophecy fulfilled.

   The apostles confronted Paul with his heresy and he tried to wiggle out of that too.

   ‘Scripture’ is inerrant ie Words spoken by God and accurately recorded by men. The bible contains scripture, but it also contains words of a serpent and words of a talking donkey and words of errant humans etc. Even Paul admitted that what he spoke was not God’s words and Paul suffered errancy and also suffered a messenger/angel of Satan.

   The bible didn’t even exist when Jesus walked this earth and ‘the bible’ is not even mentioned in ‘the bible’. There are many bibles with many assorted accepted canon … some with more and some with less books, so there is not even agreement about what ‘the bible’ is. Any claim that ‘the bible’ is inerrant, is simply corrupt church dogma that was never taught by Jesus. Jesus said that weeds would be sown among the grain and that sums up the bible … it is a mix of grain and weeds.

   The new covenant is the old covenant written on a different media ie written on hearts instead of on stone. Both covenants are God’s eternal Laws.

   You raise the topic of your religious education, but remember that Jesus shared truth with the uneducated ie ignorant
   ACTS 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

   However, Jesus criticized those with a religious eductaion of learning and promoting religious traditions of men instead of embracing God’s Words and Laws.

   In Eden, the serpent appealed to arrogance/pride of humans to seduce them to believe that God’s instruction/law could be ignored without deadly consequences and also said that humans could know as much as God … the serpent was wrong, yet humans ate serpent’s words to their own destruction. Jesus confirmed we should eat every Word from the mouth of God and that God’s Laws are eternal. The serpent still lies and still tells people that God’s instructions are void and people can have the mind of ‘Christ’. Jesus warned that his lessons would be soon oversowed with lies. Here is easy test that Jesus passed:
   IS 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

   Forget any religious education and be converted to a simple trusting child who heeds Jesus, who heals us from snake bite and is the ONLY way to the Father.
   JN 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

    Ok Glenda for one not all experts agree that Peter did not write 1 + 2 Peter. I’ve done the research I’ve seen both sides and Wayne Grudem as well as other experts agree that Peter did write 1 and 2 Peter.

    On the subject of Paul and the Heresy, In Galations 2:1-10 People question Paul, but it was not the council at Jerusalem. Paul goes to the disciples at the council of Jerusalem in private and tells them the Gospel that he is preaching, they agree that he has been given the authority of the Gospel to the Gentiles and that he really did encounter Christ.

    As well Let me get one thing straight I am not going to Bible Collage to make myself look better or to not embrace God’s word, if anything I’m here to learn God’s word! I came to Bible school for 2 main reasons first and for most to learn more about God by studying his word, secondly I am in the Missions program so I’m here to follow the call God placed on my life… to be a missionary.

    I have learned so much about God and my relationship has been stenghthened with him in the past year and a half. As well Glenda Jesus did critizize those with Religious education but not because of their education but because they used it to make themselves better than others. They made the burden heavy on others and light on themselves. I am not at school to put a heavy burden on others but to take the Gospel to the lost.

    Paul was rejected by the Christian Jews in Jerusalem (Acts 21:17-31), and according to Paul’s own testimony he was rejected by all of the Christians throughout Asia (2 Timothy 1:15).

    There are only twelve apostles of the lamb (Revelation 21:14) and the twelve formally ordained by the disciples by the will of God did not include Paul (Acts 1:15-26) and thus Paul’s claim of being an apostle of Christ does not hold any weight scripturaly…

    Paul was in the room and heard Peter declare that he was the apostle to the gentiles yet Paul lies about his encounter with Peter and takes Peter’s apostleship to the Gentiles as his own as he belittles the other apostles:

    There are two Very important things that I notice in this text in Galations chapter 2. Two things that give us a very brief glimpse into the true nature of Paul:
    1. Paul does not show any respect in his statement when talking about James, Peter and the other elders in Jerusalem, as a matter of fact he seems to show a level of contempt towards them:
    6But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no man’s person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me:
    2. In Galatians 2 verses 7 & 8 Paul tells everybody that God ordained Peter as the apostle to the Jews and He ordained Paul as the apostle to the Gentiles yet at that very same meeting that Paul attended in Jerusalem in Acts 15:
    7And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

    Paul was a liar.

    And in the end the whole church denied him.

    The bible cannot be innerent if Paul’s teachings are in it.

    We know that Paul laid claim to being “an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus” (Ephesians 1:1)
    We know that the Church at Ephesus was commended because they had “tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:” (Revelation 2:2)
    We know that Ephesus was in Asia (Revelation 1:11)
    We know that the Jews which were of Asia, when they saw Paul in the temple, stirred up all the people, and laid hands on him, And took Paul outside to kill him. (Acts 21:28-31)
    We know that by Paul’s own admission “All” the churches in Asia had turned away from him (2 Timothy 1:15)

    Paul was a false apostle.

    The idea that the church is the bride of Christ is strictly Pauline, and has its roots in paganism.

    It is commendable MC, and a credit to you that you are attending bible college and heading towards what you believe to be our Heavenly Father’s calling on your life as a missionary.

    I set out on a similar quest some 20 years ago.

    Today… I look at the Pauline influence and the Roman Catholic Paganism that has taken the place of the true teachings of YAHU’SHUA and the prophets, and I realize more and more that the ‘lost’ of my mission field are the church.

    I doubt very much that they will teach you this in bible college, but I would like to suggest to you that a study of the Essenes, the Ebionites and the Nazarenes would reveal to you more of the true nature of Christ and the will of the Father. These were the true followers of the way. Of course… You already know that YAHU’SHUA HA MASHIACH was one of them.

    The MAJORITY of experts agree that Peter is not the author of 2 Peter. Many refs agree with this claim eg

    ‘All’ of Paul’s letters were NOT even written before the death of Peter, which gives internal evidence that Peter cannot have seen and approved of ‘all’ Paul’s writings.

    Jesus prophesied that Peter’s hands would be tied and that Peter would be taken where he didn’t wish to go. Peter cannot have validated letters of Paul that had not even been written. The prophecy of Jesus proved true.

    The 12 apostles agreed that Peter was given authority by God to preach the gospel to the Gentiles. The 12 apostles never agreed that Paul was given any authority to preach any gospel to anyone and even sent their own people to speak with the Gentiles, because they can’t have trusted Paul to accurately relate the message.

    The Gentiles were told by God’s angel to ask for Peter to tell them the gospel

    Act 10:2 one devout and fearing God, with all his house, both doing many alms to the people and praying continually to God.

    No Gentiles were told by God to ask for Paul. Paul is the only one who claims to be apostle to the Gentiles, but Paul lied, according to God’s choice as shown to Gentiles and Peter. Paul admitted to being a liar.
    ROM 3:7 For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?

    Embrace the words of Jesus only, since God said to heed him, so you don’t become guilty of spreading a false gospel of lawlessness

    i trully cant believe the amount of churches that still preach from the old testament of condemnation for sin. its only condemnation for sin if you dont take up jesus as your saviour. he covers us, and honestly, the preachers and teachers all need to go back to school before leading others astray with the lie that satan tells about sin condeming those in christ, cause its not true, and the truth will set you free is what is truth, set yo free, can you not understand what that means? the old is for reflection, it teaches us about the way things were, and how we still are, inners, yet the old adam was replaced by the new better adam, chist jesus, we were once cast out of eden through adam, but through christ we are now allowed back in. noone has the right to brag about their own righteiousness because we are all guilty as each other as long as we are still human. gee if we were all to be good little boys and girls and committ no sin to get into heaven, jesus would be partying alone. of course you do the best you can, and thats what any father and mother ask from thier child, but hey you go out to play? your gonna get dirty. do we toss the children away in the bin when they come home covered in dirt? no, we get them washed up and the love we have for them is much bigger then the hate for the dirt. and thats what god is all about. he forgives you before you even commit anything, he has pre destined those in him before we are even born. we have a seal on our heads, branded “christs” we were bought with a mighty price, and to god we are worth it. but to each other all we do is hurt each other. god is more mercyful then you could ever immagine, and therefore has taught us to be as he is, forgiving of one another. close your old testaments, we know what we are worth, we know how bad we are, but now we have found the cure.jesus. amen, and just look to him and not yourselves. its that simple.

    The reason for Jesus coming was clearly spoken by Jesus … he came to lead sinners to repentance. Jesus persisted with this gospel during his entire life ministry and then told his apostles to preach the same thing.

    God said to heed the words of Jesus so look at the gospel message that Jesus gave:
    MT 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
    MT 9:13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
    MT 11:20 Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not:

    What did Jesus command to be preached ?

    The Gentiles were told by God to ask for Peter to preach the gospel to them and here is the result:

    Did Jesus say that he was a free ticket into a sky heaven?
    No, here is what Jesus said:

    Everybody does works, either lawful or lawless. Those who hate God’s Laws disdain loving obedience as ‘legalistic’, yet they do not disdain disobedience as loveless rebellious sin!

    There is only the choice of lawfulness or lawlessness.
    Jesus taught us to repent of lawlessness and sin no more.

    Back to basics may be beneficial?

    Parables are ‘likenesses’ rather than literal facts eg the book ‘Animal farm’ was a prable/likeness of a political system. Politicians are factually humans, rather than parable porkies etc. Jesus always spoke in parables/likenesses to those who didn’t desire to embrace literal facts.

    Here is proof that parables are ‘likenesses’:

    Hopefully Christians don’t claim they have become a woolly quadrupe, even although ‘God’s sheep’ are referred to in scripture. Peter was not commanded to supply grass or hay to feed scriptural sheep. The wedding parables are also likenesses and not literal facts. Consistency is important. If one parable is promoted as a literal fact, then all must be promoted that way, so any supposed literal ‘bride of Christ’ must also become literal nice fish caught in a literal net and also literal ruminants and literal nice plants with literal good edible literal fruit and grain and literal virgins with literal oil lamps etc and it is obvious how ridiculous such teachings would be, yet people promote wedding parables as literal fact.

    Parables are not the clear facts, but are shrouded stories for outsiders:
    MK 4:11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto THEM THAT ARE WITHOUT, all [these] things are done in parables:
    Mat 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

    Literal facts are different to ‘likeness’ stories.

    Here is non-parable literal fact:
    MT 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
    MK 12:25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.

    did you see it? Those who attain the next world will NOT be married! FACT! If you disagree with this clear and repeated FACT, then you are calling the Saviour a liar!

    Our House (us) is built apon a Rock! Jesus,(yeshua) same person, different letters. but the rock itself is what holds us up, not the house that is built apon it. god is the Rock, we rely on him, for he is strong while we are weak. He is all Wise, while we are stupid. we who both love the same God fight over him.     ok so its been awhile since I’ve commented basically because this argument is stupid, are people here to build the body of Christ or tear it down? We have been called to be united not split apart. This is an argument that isnt one of life and death, now I do have a problem with your claims on Paul, and I admit it through me through a loop and it confused me, I questioned the bible itself wondering if it was trustworthy if Paul really was a false teacher. I talked to my professors people I go to school with and most of all my God who is bigger than all of this and he showed me something very important, trust. I started reading through the books that Paul wrote and God showed me that Paul’s writtings matched with the rest of Gods word and He showed me that if Paul’s writtings were false he would not have allowed them to be put into his HOLY Scriptures. Most of all God taught me to trust him and his word . But this is not why I am commented.

    I have read through comments from people from both sides and I’m wondering where this argument is going. Is this something worth fighting over? Is it worth tearing the church in two? Is it a doctrine that is life or death? Does it affect our Salvation?

    Think about this and tell me if this argument is worth it, don’t comment on what I wrote about Paul it does not matter but answer my questions. And leave it at that. I for one do not think that this affects our salvation and is not something that we should argue over and allow Satan to use a simple argument to tear us apart. We all believe in Christ and that he died for our sins and that we are called to accept that salvation to become his Children. I don’t think we should let this arguement draw us from the reason that we call ourselves Followers of Christ, Christians.

    Part of ’salvation’ is to be saved from the power of satan:

    This includes being saved from lies, since lies are from Satan:

    God must be worshipped in truth

    and not according to man-made doctrine

    You are sure that God would not allow lies in ‘HOLY’ scripture according to what you claim that God showed you, yet God assures us that lies are indeed written :

    Paul assures us that he lies:
    ROM 3:7 For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?

    You disagree with God and with Paul and yet you claim that God showed you the opposite of what is written in ‘HOLY’ scripture.

    Paul suffered a messenger from Satan and recognised it as such and admitted it. Not everyone recognises source of any thoughts that oppose God:LK 9:55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.

    We are to reject them:

    If all the bible was truth, then we wouldn’t have to dig the treasure up from all the dirt it is buried under … ask, seek, knock, ie it takes effort to find the riches.

    Jesus is truth. Anybody who teaches/sows alternative to what Jesus personally taught, is a liar. You say Paul taught the same as Jesus and if this is true then Paul must have taught that any person who attains eternal life will not be married. Paul must have also taught that God’s commands are eternal and result in eternal life. Paul must have taught that we must repent of sin and obey God’s commands. Paul must have taught exactly the same as what Jesus taught, instead of any alternative message, because alternative message is spread by the enemy according to Jesus.

    Truth sets us free :
    JN 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

    Jesus sowed truth:
    JN 8:40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.

    The enemy sows alternative to the truth spoken by Jesus!

    Jesus came to save us from sinning:

    Regarding ‘the body of Christ’, Jesus was flesh and his body was flesh. 2JN 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

    Here is what Jesus and his eye-witnesses taught about the body of flesh Christ:

    MT 27:58 He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.
    MT 27:59 And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
    MK 15:43 Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.
    MK 15:45 And when he knew [it] of the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.
    LK 23:52 This [man] went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.
    LK 24:3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
    JN 19:38 And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave [him] leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.

    The church is not ‘the body’ of Jesus. Jesus was flesh and had a flesh body. The church claims to be the body of Jesus and also his bride, yet the church did not and does not walk on water or have nail holes in hands or suffer and die and rise from death and is not a pure virgin etc. Jesus specified facts about his body and it doesn’t match any claims by any church claiming to be the body of Christ.
    Jesus is truth. Let us believe him regarding his body, which suffered personally for our sakes
    JN 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all [men] unto me.
    The body of Christ suffered to attract me, the church didn’t. The church is not ‘the body of Christ’ or the bride.

    Hi MC, I wasn’t attacking you and am sorry that you think I was. I don’t know you and I don’t assume that you are stupid. You made some errant assumptions eg I don’t call myself a Christian and I don’t tease.

    I answered you because I respected the fact that you asked questions and requested answers. The answers are in the bible. Do you realise that Satan speaks in the bible and also a donkey speaks in the bible etc so God is not the only one to speak in the bible. God’s truth can be found in the bible, but not every word in the bible is the Word of God … otherwise you would be calling what a donkey or a snake says ‘the word of God’ and it isn’t.

    Please keep questioning everything, even if not here. The truth may be shocking and initially offensive compared to popular traditions, but it is better than any deadly illusion that grants a false sense of security. Jesus affirmed OT that says we should fear God. Christianity promotes that getting to heaven is smooth sailing and no cause for any fear. Please accept discomfort as part of progress. It’s no picnic. We are blessed when we are not offended by truth and flesh Jesus spoke truth and it wasn’t all comforting. Discomfort leads to repentance and that is beneficial. The way is hard that leads to life and very few find it.

    Paul and his followers are the only people in the entire bible who teach that you can become the body of Christ. YAHU’SHUA prophesied that false prophets would come after Him saying “I am Christ”.

    The sower parable comes to mind. Flesh Jesus(YHWH-saves) sowed God’s truth, but the enemy snatches it away, or or else people like some things Jesus said until they get offended.

    We must hold to Jesus above any other person, yet Paul seems to hold priority for most, so they prioritise what imperfect Paul says over what perfect flesh Jesus says. How sad, since Jesus is our only way to the Father.

    God told Gentiles to ask for Peter to teach them ‘what to do’, but Peter is as unpopular as his Master.

    We know the body of Jesus was revived by God so that Jesus of Nazareth, the annointed Messiah, lives … nobody else can lay claim to being the Messiah/Christ, or lay claim to being his body, which was damaged before death but physically touched by his eye witness apostles and close disciples after resurrecting ACTS 10:41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, [even] to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.

    Orthodox Judaism often claims to be ‘part of Messiah’ and traditional Christianity likewise claims to be ‘part of Christ’, but Jesus of Nazareth alone is the promised Messiah in the flesh, who scripture prophesied. This single individual ‘bodily’ fulfilled all that was written in scripture while no religious organisation has. I wish that people would stop claiming to be who they aren’t. It’s offensive. Such claims will seem foolish when Messiah returns and it will be the individual Jesus of Nazareth, rather than a religious group ACTS 3:21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

    1SAM 19:24 And he stripped off his clothes also, and prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Wherefore they say, [Is] Saul also among the prophets?

    Oh yes, both Benjaminite Sauls of OT and NT were among the prophets. Their activity was previously prophesied:
    GEN 49:27 Benjamin shall ravin [as] a wolf: in the morning he shall devour the prey, and at night he shall divide the spoil.
    OT Saul was ‘the morning’ while NT Saul arrived at night when ‘works’ were disdained:
    JN 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
    Do you trust dangerous Saul over Davidic Messiah (anointed)? God supplied both good and bad, life and death, for a purpose … choose wisely.

    We know the true gospel includes the incident of the woman who poured oil on Jesus
    MT 26:13 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, [there] shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.
    MK 14:9 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, [this] also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.
    The true gospels all share that incident as Jesus assured us. Where does Paul share it? Paul promoted that anyone who preached a gospel different to his should have a name that would be a curse.

    Ever noticed that in Pauline Christian society that the name of Jesus is used as a curse word?

    Jesus assured us that a test was coming that would deceive the majority … I used to be deceived when I was part of the majority who accepted Paul … but I came out of her/false religion.

    Jesus had appointed 12 original apostles and deliberately ensured that one of them, Judas, was a devil so that God’s purpose could be done.
    The house of Judas was to be desolate and those in it were to be blind:

    Psa 69:24 Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them.
    Psa 69:25 Let their habitation be desolate; and let none dwell in their tents.
    Act 1:20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.
    Ps 69:24 shows such evil ones will suffer, which is what God told Ananias was God’s purpose for Paul:
    ACTS 9:16 For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake.

    it was accurate prophecy. Yes I believe Psalms and Luke, who confirmed that Peter was God’s chosen apostle to the Gentiles and that Paul was a trouble-maker and sending him away enabled believers to thrive and be blessed with comfort and peace in his absence

    Still works that way now We are blessed when we remove Paul from our presence. God commended the Asian church who rejected Paul.

    yes watchman i am apart of his body, for when you take the holy bread you are eating it and injesting it and it becomes part of you. jesus told us to eat it, it is his body layed out for us. and to drink his blood, which becomes apart of us. he told nickodamus that we must be born again, it is not of the flesh, but of the spirit, you are born once of the flesh, but again of the spirit of christ. we are now apart of him when we accept him and be baptised and then for some the holy spirit comes apon you with fire as it did me in the church which was a pentacostal church and i didnt believe in it until i felt it and started talking and pouring out with tears at the front of the church, i was talking in stange tongue and i didnt understand what i was saying, but i know i was talking to god and it was his language. i suddenly healed a bad shoulder i had had for years and was ontop of cloud nine went home and wittnessed to all my family what had happened and what god had done for me, ever since then i have had had many healings and prayes for others to be healed from serious illnesses and deseases has happened. i have had numerous times when ive called out to god and he has appeared in the form of help, he lives in us, in those you would not expect, he is omnipresent, and everywere at once, yes jesus sits at the right hand of the father, and no i amnot there , but those in christ truly will be seated at the left. its not set aside for one person, but for all who follow and believe in him. its the chair of the holy spirit, who dwells in us of christ and we are now one bosy. one flesh, for our unperfect sinful flesh was washed clean in him and now we are part of his body, yes, i have the spirit of christ in me , but yes i also have the temptations of the devil still in my ears and eyes, because i am not complete until i leave this world. we arenot of the world, but we are left in it, and the world is the devils to run until his time is done, and he has many demons and dark entities that help him. i am attacked daily, bad thoughts, nightmares, other people, friends loved ones, family, he gets to you in anyway he can, so we have to live here in the pitts of hell with the pit ruler and all his asailants. he works through people, just as god does also, the spirit is at work, and the flesh follows. it is not the flesh we fight with but the spirit, it is a holy war. an internal one, for we have demons within, and demons outside. noone can be on earth and be safe or fully untouched by evil, the holyer you are the more they attack. i have to spend hours with god each day to get my feed, but by doing so, the demons attack me more, even there is no rest, they wake me, and ive seen a demon sitting at the edge of my bed, with masses of teeth in his mouth, they try to scare you and they stick things in you pins and pains, they torchure us day and night, and ive read many pages of the priests and nuns of past were they all had sicknesses and pains and visits form bad entities all because they loved god and were dedicated to him. the devil isnt going to give us an easy time and trys very hard to get us off worshiping god, they are allowed to do things, god willnot allow them to kill us, but just like job in the bible, we are left at a place were our faith and understanding must be strong. where it doesnt matter what the world says or does to us, we endure for christs sake, and not give up on god or his love for us, but we are tested daily. you can pray and pray and ive stayyed up al night years ago, with scriptures written and placed all around my walls to protect me, because i lived alone, and was attacked at night, noises, movements, pains, nightmares, sickness, and all sorts of terrible things, but it wasnt at my times of worldlyness, but at my most holyiest times, the closer and more time i spent with god, it seemed the more attacks i got. but god got me through it, took a pituatry tumer from me and made me well all through pray. ive been clensed and cured of many ailments, and yet also allowed to be given them, all so i can wittness and atest to the things ive seen and heard. my sister had non hodgkins lymphoma, i know my prays had her healed, every time i pray for someone to be well they get well. i have come through so much with god and devil, that i am stronger then i look. yes, god is with me, yes, i am his body, yes, we in christ truly are the body of christ. because we become joined just as a husband and wife become one flesh, joined in a union its not a pysical thing, but a spiritual thing, and same as being born again, its not a flesh thing, but a spiritual thing. you cant see everything that is real, nor is everything you see real. i take the holy eucarist seriously and when i eat and drink of his flesh and blood, i truly take him into me as if i am eating his flesh and drinking his blood, and although that sounds gross, it is truly holy, for all sacrifices have to have blood, and i accept his blood for mine, and therfore, now have become one with him. it is hard to tell ears that are closed. it is hard to show eyes that are shut, and it is hard to touch the soul when all you think you are is flesh. no, i cannot give you the words to convince you of the things i know and see and speak, for you have not had the scales drop off, and my words are falling off you, they willnot penetrate, because you arenot open to understanding of the things i speak of. i once didnt believe in the movment of the holy spirit, and how the people shaked and laughed, and cryed, and it all looked like a circus act, but i tell you, unless you have been touched by the holy spirit with his fire, you will not understand the things i speak of. so there is no point. im stuborn and dont give up on people easy. i understand you passion, for what you believe to be true, and you strong in it, but, there is more then just flesh christ, yes he was flesh, and died then rose, and now is flesh again, but the helper he spoke of, the one he was sending and wouldnt comeunless jesus left was the holy spirit, who dweeled inside of him, and now dwells inside of me, sometimes i have gift of writting, sometimes its speach, sometimes, its teaching, and sometimes, its healing, the 7 spirits of god come apon you when god wants and needs and uses you to do his work, i can and have written pages and pages then reread and learnt things i never knew before? its amazing, trully amazing.but anyway, you have to be born again and you have to be part of christs body to inherit the kingdom, otherwise, you are just a human. unfortunatelly.

    The marriage supper has not occurred. So Christ and His bride have not become one, yet you claim that at the same time you are His bride and you are His body which would have to mean that Christ and His bride are one.

    Again… In the above parable… The king did not send for the Bride… He sent out his slaves to call those who had been INVITED TO THE WEDDING FEAST.

    The church being the ‘bride of Christ’ was introduced by Saul of Tarsus and is in reality the second degree of the rites of Mithras (Mystery Religion).

    Watchman is not inviting being plundered

    Any who wish to share things which are inappropriate in any house which is not theirs, can make a house of their own instead of undermining other house owners who take responsibility for what is available in their house. Paul had a house of his own. I wouldn’t wish to visit that. I like this house and appreciate some safety from trouble-maker Paul.

    That sounds like you are describing Paul and his teachings.

    Regardless of what is said about Paul, I believe this passage speaks with Godly clarity and insight. Love is not puffed up like a know-all but endures all things, including persecution.
    1Corinthians 13:1-13

    Regardless of what people think of Paul, I KNOW this passage speaks with Godly clarity and insight
    MK 9:7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, ****THIS**** is my beloved Son: hear ***HIM****.
    LK 9:35 And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, ***THIS*** is my beloved Son: hear ***HIM***.

    These passages directly witnessed as being from God referred to Jesus and NOT to Paul. Jesus spoke all truth while Paul admitted to lies and deception.
    Eve thought some fruit on the deadly tree looked good, but she should not have touched ANY of it! I dont care about anything that Paul says that may seem good, because I’m sticking with the tree of life who is Jesus and I’m not eating any alternative. Jesus clarifies what love is and it isn’t some theoretical feel-good mental nicety … it is hard work activity! It is going the extra mile and turning the other cheek. It is practical ACTION. Great love is laying down one’s life … there is nothing pretty or feel-good or mental or theoretical about that REALITY.
    Heed and follow Jesus and God’s chosen apostle to the Gentiles who is PETER … God specifically told Gentiles to ask for Peter only.

    this is were you Glenda and watchman have it all wrong, i hear you and he talking about “flesh Jesus” and this is where it all goes wrong and upside down in you. for the last three years of jesus life was his minestry, after the baptism, the dove of the holy spirt(Gods Spirit) came down into him and he became God. we the brothers and sisters have the same power or “ability ” to have that power and strength that he received form out father if only we had the faith of a mustard seed! Jesus said, why do you call me good, for only one is good, God! And God was the goodness in him, his spirit, not the flesah. this is why we dont live by the flesh anylonger, but by the spirit. you take away all the rights and power of the spirit by prefering the flesh. the flesh is at war with the spirit. it is a constant battle for humans not to follow the flesh( the enemy) the beast within. for it isnot God that temps us, but the Devil, and the Devil has come down to the earth to cause havock. we are part earth. part spirit. Jesus only started perorming his Miracles once he was engifted by the Holy spirit, and this is wht you and Watchman Lack. for the Spirt of truth is not in those who testify to the flesh, for the flesh is counted as nothing, and no sin, nor sinner is going to stop me getting into heaven, for i am already a son to our Father. washed clean, and overcome by the Spirit or God. the same Spirit that was and is and always was in Jesus. Love God with all you heart, minds and soul, and your neighbour as yourself.     The best that you can give YHVH cherylea is a repentant heart.

    This is our preparation ground for the next life.

    This is our chance to deal with our sin.
    The kingdom of YHVH is within you.
    We can not be one with Him if we have unrepentant sin in our lives… For within Him there is no sin.

    Wow, is there big misunderstandings on this one. What a lot of comments. Is God a rock? Is He a chicken? But the Bible says… Folks, the bride of Christ is Jerusalem, and the attendants of the Bridegroom. It is the bride waiting for her Bridegroom/the Lamb and we are a whole lot of things. We are stones. Stones the comprise the New Jerusalem. And our righteousness which is the white linen that clothes us comes from being washed in the Blood of the Lamb. You know, Ezekeil said it as clearly as he could and it still isn’t understood by half who read him. I’m saying it as best I can. The bride is people. And she is the men who attend Yeshua coming again as Bridegroom. We are those who will be the population of the New Jerusalem. We are the second Eve. And that is so important I can not begin to explain it as well as I would like to. The first Adam did not have the ability to forgive Eve for God. The second Adam does. Which is one of the most important reasons for us to understand Yeshua was sinless. If he wasn’t he could hardly have the authority to forgive with God’s forgiveness. And that is much more than just what a husband can do for his wife. Men are a guilty of Eve’s sin as women are. And pretending that is not true is what keeps men from the relationship with Yeshua that wipes away the first curses. How can women be the son “Israel”? The same way men can and are the bride of Messiah! We forget, that body of Messiah on this earth was begun way back when. Just because we can not see it today does not mean it is not. No man can see all throughout time. We can see some of what was in the past and with imagination put it together with what exists today. But God knows it all. Adding in what Believer’s are not even born yet. And all together, she will be. Her holiness comes from God’s forgiveness. It comes from her obedience. You call them works. Certainly, she can not be His if she does not even listen to Him. But some people are holy. Else why does the angel call the prophets “holy” ones? Of course some people are holy. I don’t know whom they are, but certainly God does. He’s the one who decides who really is. One thing is for sure, they are those who got forgiven.

    Act 23:4 And they that stood by said, Revilest thou God’s high priest?

    Another time he suffered the spirit of error was when he got Epimenides paradox (about Cretans being liars) wrong … he showed lack of logic as well as lack of truth.

    Paul embraces and promoted Zeus as ‘God’ and quoted Cleanthes Hymn to Zeus which his audience was aware of the god being preached, while those who didn’t know the hymn assumed Paul referred to the scriptural God rather than a pagan god, also known as the UNKNOWN GOD.

    Yes Paul is one shifty character who sufferes a messenger (literally ‘angel’ ) of Satan and the spirit of error and preaches Zeus and lies divisively as per example

    For those who punt the church to be the bride of christ:

    If the church is the bride of christ –
    1. Who are the wedding quests? – also remember the parable on the guests, and the parable on the uninvited whom were thrown out – and gnashing of teeth were heard. If the “church” is the bride – and no unbelievers are wedding guests – who are they then???
    2. Also explain the multitudes dressed in white (Revelation) – who were tortured and have been saved?

    For the notion that the new city of Jerusalem is the bride: I presume that we are reading some different translations, as the ones that I read does not state that the city is the bride of the Saviour.
